If you were not able to attend Open House this evening please be sure to look through each document below. Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns you may have!
ALL Parents need to download the "Parent Math Strategy Guide for Grade 1"- This is a great resource to help your child with our math curriculum!
Your can download a copy of this letter below!
We had a great first day of school! Attached you will find our weekly newsletter. Please read it carefully and let me know if you have any questions or concerns. This is a great piece of paper to join the other magnets on the refrigerator! Below are a few important reminders and announcements that need your attention:
Take Home Binder
Today your child came home with their Take Home Binder. Please read “What is a Take Home Binder?” with your child, and sign the Take Home Binder Contract. These can be returned to school along with their binder tomorrow.
Please be sure to talk to your child about how they are getting home each day. If you need to change your child’s transportation, you must send in a written note. I cannot except transportation changes via phone call or email. There will be transportation change forms coming home with your child tomorrow, and you can also find the file on our blog under “Need Another Copy?”.
Due to our schedule, we will not have a snack. Our lunch time is 12:00PM so be sure to have your child eat breakfast at home or at school. Your child can bring a water bottle to have at their seat. It is important, however, that they can open it themselves and it has minimal “sweat”.
Nut Free Classroom
We are a nut free classroom. If you are sending in treats for a birthday or another class celebration, it must be made without nuts, and cannot be made in a factory with nuts. This is a great concern of mine so I ask that you email me at least 48 hours in advance with the type of treat you will be bringing. This will allow me to make sure it will be an acceptable treat for our class. Healthy treats are great!
OWL About Me Bag
Tomorrow, your child will come home with an OWL About Me Bag. This is our first take home project. It will be due this Friday, August 7th. Attached to the bag will be an explanation of the project. Please let me know if you have any questions!
You should have received a manila (brown) envelope with information about our class. Please send those forms in no later than Friday.
Our room is very chilly! if your child gets cold easily, please send a light jacket for them to keep at their seat.
Have a great evening!
